TRASH COLLECTION
The City of New Orleans offers twice weekly curbside trash collection to eligible residents and small businesses courtesy of Richard’s Disposal (properties located south of I-10) or Metro Disposal (properties located north of I-10). The French Quarter and Downtown Development District are serviced under a separate set of collection regulations and schedules by Empire Services.

RECYCLING
Residents should begin using their City-issued recycling cart for curbside pickup with the following eligible items only:
Plastics #1 (soda/water bottles) and #2 (milk/juice/shampoo/detergent containers)
Newspapers

Phone books
Catalogs
Office paper
Corrugated cardboard
Boxboard (cereal boxes/soft drink boxes)
Small aluminum and steel cans

Residents should not place their recyclables in plastic bags for curbside collection.
ITEMS IN PLASTIC BAGS CANNOT BE RECYCLED.
FOR CONSTRUCTION AND DEMOLITION (C&D) MATERIALS, LARGE AMOUNTS OF VEGETATION & GARBAGE

SORTING ITEMS CURBSIDE
Rinse all food container items before placing in recycling roll carts. Curbside-sorting is not required.
RECYLCING DROP-OFF
The City's Recycling Drop-Off Center at 2829 Elysian Fields Ave will be open weekly on Saturdays from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m to Orleans Parish residents (businesses & organizations excluded).
